Family and police ask for help finding Eddie Palma’s killer

Odessa, TEXAS (Big 2/Fox 24) – It’s been almost one year since Eddie Palma of Odessa was stabbed. Police say they haven’t stopped looking for his killer, and his family hasn’t stopped searching for answers.

In the middle of the night on April 17th, 2020- 52-year-old Eddie Palma was stabbed near Tom Green Avenue, and later died. His family misses him every day.

“My brother was a gather, and a grandparent, and a husband. He was a great supporter of the military, basically he was involved with the VFW in the Odessa-Midland area,” says brother Jaime Palma.

Odessa Police say there’s a person of interest in this case, but that they don’t have answers yet.

“Through the course of the investigation, we did obtain some leads. However, it has ultimately turned into a cold case,” says Odessa Police Cpl. Steve LeSueur.

Answers that family members like Jaime Palma say they need to try and heal.

“It will never bring my brother back, but it will definitely give us closure, it will allow us to move on, and serve justice,” says Palma.

Police say they hope viewers may recognize the person or the car in this this video to help them move the case forward.

“It’s something that we take very serious. Someone lost a loved one, and again, we never give up on these cases, there’s always hope,” says Cpl. LeSueur.

The family is offering a $35,000 reward for a tip that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Eddie Palma. You can call Odessa Police to give a tip.
