A level 2 slight risk is in effect for most of West Texas today, with a level 3 enhanced risk touching the northeastern Permian Basin. A slight risk means that scattered severe thunderstorms are possible. An enhanced risk means that numerous severe thunderstorms are possible.

The timing of the storms will be between 2pm-10pm with the main hazards being large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado or two all possible.
