Slightly cooler temperatures and incoming rainfall. That’s what we’ll be contending with today. The streak of 90 plus highs will be a thing of the past as afternoon temperatures are set to top out in the mid-80’s. The relief will be short-lived, however, as thunderstorms make their return to the Basin tomorrow evening. There is a marginal chance to see severe weather in the eastern Basin, but for the most part the thunderstorm activity is expected to remain below severe thresholds. Those storms will linger into Friday morning, but once we clear out by the weekend, our forecast really starts to look up. Clear skies with highs in the 80’s Saturday and Sunday will make for a picture perfect weekend. Looking for cooler temperatures? Just hold on until next week. That’s when highs are forecasted to drop back down to the 70’s as cooler air settles back in for a few days.
