The stormy weather has continued for some in West Texas on this muggy Memorial Day as Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects leftover thundershowers possible during the day. Skies will be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching the 80’s and 90’s. East-southeasterly winds will keep things relatively humid today, but conditions will be sunnier, warmer, and drier tomorrow as southerly winds slowly return.
The start of this three day weekend has been filled with rain so many of us had to keep our rain gear handy.

Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere, combined with a broad area of low pressure from the southwest, will produce a more pronounced-area for spotty severe storms later today. However, Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects the thunderstorm activity to be very isolated, confined to eastern areas of West Texas as temperatures will rise into the high 70’s, 80’s, and lower 90’s before the storms hit. As the unsettled weather continues this weekend, temperatures will remain below normal.
The next few days will see the graduating class of 2023 walking the stage and receiving their diplomas. There will be seven ceremonies across West Texas over the next two days.
