A Dusty Storm System Arrives 3-23-2023

For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Along with some cloud development in West Texas, temperatures will remain above normal, but Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects a dusty storm system to bring in some rain chances with temperature changes. While most thunderstorm activity will be outside of the viewing area, southeastern areas may briefly experience some isolated storms. As temperatures rise into the high 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and low 90's, southwesterly winds will really pick up in intensity with drier air. Along with mostly clear skies, temperatures will be close to normal by tomorrow with patchy dust.

For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects less clouds with a surge in temperatures this afternoon Basinwide as southwesterly winds will pick up in earnest. The southerly component in those winds will warm things up as the westerly component in those winds will dry things out in western areas. Along with partly cloudy skies, temperatures will rise into the high 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and low 90’s this afternoon, back way above normal for this time of year. Despite the slight chance for a few isolated thunderstorms today in the higher elevations and in southeastern areas, a dusty storm system tomorrow will not only dry things out, but eventually, cool things off a bit as well.

For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Rain and snow has moved out of West Texas as Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects a little bit more sunshine with warmer air as a result later today. Near-freezing-mark temperatures will give way to temperatures rapidly rising into the upper 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s as southwesterly winds will pick up. Skies will still be a bit cloudy for many areas this afternoon, but even more sunshine will be the bigger story tomorrow, as well as the warmer, drier, and more-breezy conditions.
