Odessa Crimestoppers have gotten the community’s help raising the reward money for information about the murder of Brandon Swinney.
It’s gone from $1,000 to $20,000.
“There’s just been such an outpour of love and support for me and all of his family,” Samantha Swinney, Brandon Swinney’s wife, says. “We just can’t thank anyone enough.”
Samantha says her husband loved his home town of Odessa, through and through.
“Brandon loved Odessa, just as much as anybody, probably more than anybody really,” Swinney says. “He never wanted to leave here, he just wanted to be here for the rest of his life and he just loved everybody so much here and loved the town and community.”
Brandon leaves behind a 6 month old daughter and 10 year old son…
Police want people to know that the new $20,000 reward is for any new information that leads to an arrest in this case.
“You have to understand when you use crimestoppers,” Rogers says. “It’s totally anonymous and noone will ever know that you came to us and gave us the information. And you are the one who can make a difference and help us with this case.”
“If you know something, please come forward and bring that information to us,” Odessa Police Department Chief Michael Gerke says. “So this can be solved and this family can have some closure.”
To be eligible for the reward, you must contact Odessa Crimestoppers.
