MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Unified Midland will provide another update on their Coronavirus response Tuesday morning.
The update will come following the confirmation of 17 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing Midland County’s overall count to 64.
The majority of those patients, according to the City of Midland, were residents at Midland Medical Lodge. Officials say all of the patients are self-isolating in the facility’s isolation wing.
Several patients and staff had already tested positive at Midland Medical Lodge prior to the updated case list Monday night. The initial positives prompted a team from Midland Health to respond.
Midland Health CEO Russell Meyers said the team was sent to test all of the residents and the staff at MML.
The update from Unified Midland will begin at 9 a.m.
