ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/ Fox 24) – SibCamp gives a chance for brothers and sisters of kids with special needs to take a break from some of the issues they face at home.
It gives the kids a chance to enjoy a few days with others who face the same challenges.
“It means so much to me because I’ve been doing this for about two years now and it really gives me a break from home,” Simon Crudgington says. We have special needs siblings and it just gives us some time to think and reflect.”
An impact brothers and sisters have to go through in their homes.
The program hosts annual day camp for siblings of kids who have special needs — here in the Basin.
Simon along with his sister Leeana says SIB Camp is a place where they can relate with other siblings and have a day where they can leave the difficulties at home.
“I feel like getting away for the day and being able to have fun and enjoy the day with kids who understand you,” Leeana Crudgington says.
