Remembering a Midland man, Joshua Shoals

Last month on June 25th, around 10:30 pm, 26-year-old Joshua Schoals was killed in his home on the 1700 block of Maple Avenue.
The Midland Police Department called it a “Target Home Invasion.”

The police are still investigating and have raised the information reward to $2,500.

Big 2 News spoke with Joshua’s sister, Kassondra Schoals who wants to keep his memory alive. She released this statement,

“My brother was an amazing man and even better father,
Always cared for others and wanted people to be the better them.
Always smiling and cracking jokes. Very carefree and loving. You could meet him once and would leave feeling like y’all had been friends for life.
Such a bright light in life. He’ll be greatly missed by so many.”

Joshua leaves behind a nine-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter.
Wake and funeral arrangements have been made for this Friday and Saturday.

Joshua’s wake will be held on July 5th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and the funeral is held on July 6th at 11 a.m. at Lee Street Church of Christ.
