MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One person was killed following a car-pedestrian crash Monday in Midland, according to a release from the Midland Police Department.
Officers were called to the crash around 11:30 a.m. Monday morning in the 2500 block of Rankin Highway.
While investigating, officers learned that the pedestrian was crossing Ranking Highway and was struck while in the turning lane, the release reads. Police officials say the pedestrian, who has not been identified, was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The investigation is ongoing and police say no citations have been issued.
