KERMIT, Tx – While the Kermit football team did make the playoffs last season, the Yellow Jackets fell short of their goal of winning that coveted gold ball and a district championship.
Kermit will have to adjust to a new district this season. One that features Brownfield, Denver City, Lamesa, Shallowater and Slaton. Head coach Bubba Ross said it will be a challenge, but the Yellow Jackets will not change who they are.
Ross said the team’s main strength this season will lie within the skills positions. However, the team’s offense might also be a downfall early on. Kermit will have a younger offensive line that will have to adjust to the pace of varsity football.
