The Fort Davis football team has kicked off practice for the 2020 season and is also adjusting to a new coach.
Brad Repass took over the Indians this year, and being a head coach has been a long-awaited dream of his. Repass spent the last three years as an assistant coach at various schools, but was a lawyer before that.
The Indians have just one senior on this year’s team: Anthony Muniz. The senior center said he feels “pretty special” being the only one, and is ready to help guide some of the underclassmen on the field.
Repass said he is excited about the younger roster.
“We’ll have everyone but one back next year. And second year in the system…we might be a year away. But then again, we’re in a new district and there’s some excitement about that. And our goal is to somehow, some way make the playoffs,” he said.
