ODESSA, Texas – The Permian Panthers will put their season on the line once again when they battle the Southlake Carroll Dragons.
Friday’s matchup in the Area Round of the high school football playoffs pits MOJO up against one of the most prolific teams in the Lone Star State.
Southlake Carroll (8-1) has averaged nearly 50 per game offensively. The Dragons are led by junior quarterback (and Ohio State commit) Quinn Ewers – widely regarded as the top recruit in the country for his class.
The Dragons also have had recent success against the Panthers. Southlake Carroll has faced Permian in each of the last two seasons, walking out victorious on each occasion.
Permian and Southlake Carroll will play at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of Abilene Christian University on Friday. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
