MOJO Monday: Permian stays in district championship hunt

ODESSA, Tx – Permian improved to 3-1 and took home the town bragging rights with Friday’s win over Odessa High.

The Panthers’ won Friday’s contest 45-7. Head coach Jeff Ellison said one thing Permian improved on this week was the team’s passing game. Permian put the ball in the air more often than normal in Friday’s win. Senior receiver Shy Stephens-Deary even broke Permian’s single-game touchdown record with five touchdowns.

Permian will face Midland High this Friday. Ellison said the Panthers will have to do a good job defending the run game.
