MIDLAND, Tx – Midland High head coach Tim Anuszkiewicz said his team will need to be more consistent this Friday than they were last week to secure a win over Amarillo High.
The Bulldogs dropped their first game of the season to Wichita Falls Rider 42-13. Midland High and Rider went back-and-forth to start off the game before Rider pulled away in the second half.
Anuskiewicz said he didn’t think his team handled the momentum shift well. He said penalties were also an issue in last Friday’s game.
Friday’s game against Amarillo High is Midland’s first home game of the year. Anuskiewicz did have a message for fans to follow the UIL’s protocols so the Bulldogs and other teams across the state can continue playing football.
