UTPB posts impressive second-half effort in Saturday’s win

Sports

The UTPB Football Team took on Northern Michigan last Saturday and took home a 40-24 victory.

Despite a solid start offensively for the Falcons, NMU scored one touchdown at the end of the first half, and another at the start of the third quarter.

“Then we went right back down and kicked a field goal and regained the lead and never looked back from there,” head coach Justin Carrigan said.

UTPB kept that confidence rolling into the fourth quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 20-10 in the fourth quarter. Carrigan said that second-half effort impressed him more than anything in Saturday’s win.
