ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – Nestled in between Grandview and I-20 Business on East 8th Street in Odessa lies Catfish and Company – a locally-owned restaurant which opened in 1991 featuring affordable, quality food at any time of day.
“We’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” said the restaurant’s owner, Sid Clark. “We close Christmas Day and Christmas Eve night. Other than that, we’re open every day.”
The eatery offers a variety of food for every meal.
“We’ve got breakfast lunch and dinner we serve all day long. We have 106 different menu items that we have to choose from,” said Clark. “We prepare everything fresh here from scratch. I think you’ll find something that you can enjoy.”
Catfish and Co. prepares many sharable appetizers. perfect for any gathering for the Big Game.
“We do fried zucchini, we do cheese sticks, we do mushrooms,” said Clark. “Simple stuff, but it’s really good.”
There are plenty of options for platters as well.
“Chicken tenders, catfish fillets, jumbo fried shrimp,” said Clark. “You can get pancakes… if you so choose.”
The restaurant also makes a wide array of dessert menu items, most notably its homemade ice cream.
“We do pies. I know that maybe doesn’t go with beer but sometimes it does,” said Clark. “Coconut cream pie – we make those – everything fresh daily.”
Of course, the full Catfish and Co. experience isn’t complete without some seafood.
“That’s an Icelandic Cobb that we do here. We bake it in a lemon pepper sauce. It’s quite tasty,” said Clark. “People that I offer it to try it, they come back. Our sales just keep going up on it. If one of your friends that are in the group wants catfish, great. The other one can have an omlette… We have a big variety.”
The restaurant offers take-out as well for anyone looking to bring a meal home for Sunday’s game.
“We can handle it” said Clark. “Whatever you’ve got we can do it. Just come on down.”
