Former Texas Tech pitcher Caleb Kilian officially signed a contract with the Giants on Saturday.
The Giants selected the righty as the 236th overall pick in the eighth round of the MLB Draft.
The selection is valued at just more than $176,000. Kilian signed a $400,000 deal today.
Kilian was drafted in the 20th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, but returned to Texas Tech for his junior season. He went 7-0 in Big 12 play this year, and recorded 72 strikeouts during the regular season. Kilian can throw a 95 mph fastball.
