Palmer steps down as Seminole head football coach

SEMINOLE, Texas – Ty Palmer has confirmed to ABC Big 2/Fox 24 that he has relinquished his duties as Seminole’s head football coach.

Palmer says he will remain at the school as an assistant for now and is open to returning to the program next season in that capacity.

Palmer, who previously served as an offensive line coach, took over Seminole’s head coaching gig in 2019 following the retirement of the Indians head coach at the time, Kent Jackson.

In his two seasons at the helm, Seminole won 12 games and secured a spot in the postseason on both occasions.
