Midland High embraces fresh start ahead of district opener

Sports

MIDLAND, Texas – The Midland High Bulldogs (0-3) have struggled to demonstrate consistently early this season, resulting in three lopsided defeats to begin the year.

Fortunately for the Bulldogs, none of those losses have hampered their chances of making the postseason.

Midland High will play its first game with playoff implications this week when MHS hosts the Wolfforth Frenship Tigers (1-2) on Friday. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs have fared well against the Tigers in recent years. Midland High rallied off three straight victories over Frenship from 2016-2018, although the Tigers shut out the Bulldogs in last year’s meeting (33-0).
