Midland High alum McLane Mannix is once again getting a taste of West Texas football.
The former Bulldog started his collegiate career at Nevada. In two seasons with the Wolfpack, he hauled in 107 receptions for 1,653 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.
After the 2018 season, Mannix announced his intent to transfer due to family reasons. Ultimately, he settled on Texas Tech.
In May, his appeal to the NCAA for a hardship waiver was granted, allowing him to be immediately eligible this season as a junior.
The Red Raiders start their 2019 campaign on August 31st at home against Montana State.
