The Iraan-Sheffield ISD School Board met Monday evening and discussed the employment of its athletic director.
The decision to evaluate his employment comes one month after members voted to renew Luddeke’s contract. The Board ultimately decided to keep Luddeke at his position as the district’s athletic director and football coach.
This will be Luddeke’s second season with the Braves, after Iraan went 0-11. The district has faced low enrollment, leaving the football program with low numbers, as well.
Following the vote, several football players offered their support of the board’s decision.
“It’s difficult having a new head coach every year,” said junior Paul Davis. “But now I’m glad we’ll get to have one for more than one.”
