ODESSA, Tx (ABC Big 2/Fox 24) – The UTPB women’s basketball team is hoping to bounce back against St. Edwards Thursday and to do so, head coach Rae Boothe said the Falcons must improve their defense.
Boothe said her team’s defense was “poor” this past weekend. But she said if UTPB can get it together and cause some chaos for St. Edwards’ offense, the Falcons have a good chance of winning the game.
“They’ve got some depth, they’ve got some shooters, they’ve got a little bit of everything. I think as long as we get after it defensively, we hope to cause a lot of chaos,” she said.
UTPB is currently 2-6 this year. The Falcons will kick off the two-game series against St. Edwards at 3 p.m. Thursday. Their second game will be played Friday.
