Just two days into the summer strength and conditioning schedule, the UIL has already announced a new phase for workouts.
The UIL already issued new safety precautions for schools to take during summer workouts, but the guidelines will change a bit starting June 22. Some of the new guidelines include:
- Buildings/fields/gyms at 50 percent capacity (previously 25 percent)
- Increased group sizes (25 outside, 15 inside)
- Equipment SHOULD be sanitized after each use, but is not required.
The 20:1 student/staff ratio is no longer required, effective immediately.
