Two-A-Days: Fort Davis Indians

Local Sports

The Fort Davis Indians are heading into the 2019 season with hopes that their large freshmen class will look up to an experienced senior squad.

The Indians are part of a powerhouse district and missed the playoffs behind Balmorhea and Rankin last season. They went 1-2 in district play.

Head Coach Curtis Pittman admitted his team lost some size last season, but he hopes to make up for it in speed. Only three of the players on Fort Davis’ current team are sophomores and juniors: the rest are seniors and freshmen.

“They’re a good group of leaders, they’ve got a great attitude and I think they’re going to help bring those freshmen up,” Pittman said.
