MIDLAND, Tx – After TAPPS postponed the original start of fall sports, Midland Christian will finally be back on the field this Friday.
Because of the shortened season, Midland Christian will play just one nonconference game: Wall on Sept. 25. The Mustangs have spent the last couple of weeks since practice started preparing for the match-up.
Midland Christian has a small senior class returning this year, but what the Mustangs lack in numbers, they make up for in experience. Several key players return for the team, including the leader of their offense, quarterback Ryver Rodriguez.
MCS will also lean on quite a bit of experience from its running backs and a talented receiving corps. Head coach Greg McClendon said the team should have a solid defense this season as well.
