The Sands girls basketball team came to an end following a low-scoring 27-24 loss to New Home Tuesday evening.
The game was the 1A Region 1 Quarterfinal match-up. Though Sands had a lead going into the second half, New Home started to pull away midway through the fourth quarter. Turnovers plagued the Mustangs at the end of the game.
