LUBBOCK, Tx (ABC Big 2/Fox 24) – Permian’s season came to an end in the Regional Round of playoffs following at 11-1 loss to Southlake Carroll.
Despite Friday night’s loss in game one, Permian put on an impressive performance in game two to tie up the series 1-1. The win forced a winner-take-all game three between the two schools, although the Panthers struggled offensively in the final game.
Carroll ended up winning the game 11-1 in just five innings to advance to the next round.
Permian finishes the 2021 season with a district title and the longest postseason run in more than 50 years.
