Permian searching for first win against Southlake Carroll

Local Sports

The Permian Panthers are 0-2 after starting the season with losses to DeSoto and El Paso Franklin.

The Panthers are preparing to face another tough matchup against Southlake Carroll at home this Friday.

Head coach Jeff Ellison said the team has addressed the things the team needs to work on following the Franklin game. But he said this will be another big challenge for the Panthers.

Southlake Carroll (2-0) is ranked No. 8 in Dave Campbell’s Texas High School Football ranking system. Ellison said while their offense is always impressive, Permian is also focusing on Carroll’s defense which is senior-heavy.
