Recent Permian graduate Easton Hernandez had committed to play baseball at Angelina College, but Hernandez announced last week that he will be re-opening his recruitment.
His decision comes after the school decided to cancel its athletic programs for the 2020-21 school year. While the school year is set to start soon, Hernandez said he is still excited to start the process of finding a new school and team.
Hernandez was also Permian’s quarterback last season, and said he would like to potentially play both football and baseball at his next school.
