Odessa High keeps a positive mindset despite missing playoffs

Local Sports

The Odessa High Football Team has one game remaining on the schedule, but the Bronchos will be finished playing following this Friday’s game.

Odessa High was officially eliminated from a chance at playoff contention with last week’s loss to Tascosa. Head coach Danny Servance said he was still very proud of the way his team played.

Odessa High was within two points of the Rebels well-into the second half of Friday’s game before Tascosa went on a run to win 31-15.

Though the district title is still up in the air, Midland Lee, Frenship, Permian and Tascosa have all clinched a spot at the postseason.

Both Midland High and Odessa High are searching for their first district win of the season. The two teams play one another this Friday, Nov. 8.
