The West Texas Warbirds are a new indoor professional football team in the Permian Basin, and they are trying to fill their roster.
Prospective players ran through drills Saturday morning at the YMCA football fields off Billy Hext.
Head Coach Marcus Coleman said the coaching staff will reach out to those invited to training camp within the next couple of weeks. Training came for the Warbirds starts on February 29, with the first game on March 14.
However, if you missed the tryouts and are still interested in joining the team, it is not too late. General Manager Leif Kertis said the organization will not hold anymore open tryouts, but those interested can contact the staff directly. Contact information is available on the Warbirds’ website.
