Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is entering his ninth season with the team, and also the final year of his contract.
Cowboys insider Babe Laufenberg chatted with Garrett about the matter, and Garrett said he does not let the expiration affect his work.
“I’ve just never lived my life that way.”
Garrett said he views his job as a day-by-day proposition regardless of his contract status.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had previously mentioned that he wanted Garrett at the helm until he could not longer spell Cowboys correctly.
When asked how that comment made him feel, Garrett simply said: “It makes me feel great.”
