LUBBOCK, Texas (Nexstar) – Cal Conley does it again.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders found themselves in another hotly contested matchup Tuesday night at home against Stephen F. Austin.

Texas Tech got on the board early getting one run in the first inning, but the bats would later fall silent through the sixth inning.

The Red Raiders broke it open in the seventh tacking on two more against the Lumberjacks. However, Stephen F. Austin wouldn’t go away quietly.

In a do-or-die moment, the Lumberjacks battled back in the ninth, tying the game a 3-3.

The Red Raiders stepped to the plate with a chance in the bottom of the ninth and a redshirt freshman came through in crunch time.

Cal Conley would win it for the Red Raiders in the bottom of the ninth with a bases-loaded single into left field, scoring the go-ahead run.

Tech will be back in action again today at 1 p.m. to finish off the mid-week series with Stephen F. Austin.
