ANDREWS, Tx (ABC Big 2/Fox 24) – Andrews senior Clayton Chesshire will continue his baseball career at University of the Southwest next year.
Southwest is an NAIA school in Hobbs, NM. The centerfielder said one of the reasons he chose the school and program was because it is close to home.
“It’s close to home, not too close. They have good baseball there and I’m going to go and study kinesiology and they have that so it just seemed like a good fit,” he said.
Chesshire said he is thankful the recruitment process is finished and is looking forward to applying the skills he learned at Andrews in college.
