KERMIT, Texas – Kermit senior Bradley Peralta, who exploded onto the Texas high school track and field scene this spring, hit another career milestone on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jacket sprinter signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Texas Tech track and field team. The Red Raiders won the 2019 National Championship during the outdoor season.
This past spring, Peralta picked up numerous medals and other accolades in Class 3A for Kermit. In his preferred event, the 400-meter race, Peralta won the gold medal with a time of 47.95 seconds at the 3A Region I Meet. His performance broke at record at that Regional which had stood for 24 years.
Peralta followed up that effort with a second-place in the same event at the UIL 3A State Meet. Watch the video above for more!
