Greenwood senior Brody Ray, one of the Basin’s most prolific wide receivers in recent years, has announced his intent to play for UTPB.

Ray, who also played as a defensive back for the Rangers, announced the news on Twitter earlier this week.

This past season, Ray helped lead Greenwood to the State Semifinals for the second time in school history.

The Rangers went into the playoffs undefeated, before losing to the eventual state champions (Texarkana Pleasant Grove).

UTPB is coming off a historic season as well – the Falcons finished with a record 4 wins in the program’s fourth year of competition.

Ray led the Rangers in receiving in each of his three seasons on varsity. As a junior, he finished with 42 receptions, 871 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns.

His senior season was impressive as well: 51 receptions, 1,128 receiving yards with 18 TD.

On defense, he intercepted 8 passes over the course of his high school career.
