UTPB fell to 2-2 on the season following a loss to No. 4 Tarleton State.

The Texans got out early in the game, jumping to a 28-7 lead at half, and scored 21 unanswered points in the second half.

Sophomore Quarterback Taylor Null sat out the game with an injury, leaving Clayton Roberts to take over the Falcons. Head Coach Justin Carrigan said Null’s status is a day-by-day basis.

Despite the loss, Carrigan said that the morale is still good among the Falcons. He said it was a learning experience for some of the freshmen.
