Bowling tournament raises $12,000 for Boys and Girls Clubs

Sports

Today Cinergy presented a check to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin for $12,000 following a successful bowling tournament and raffle a couple weeks ago.

The tournament featured celebrity guest Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith, who bowled in the tournament.

Along with the proceeds from the tournament, Cinergy raffled off Cowboys memorabilia to raise money, as well. A portion ($12,000) of those profits went to the Boys and Girls Clubs.

“It really meant a lot to me to be on this adventure with Cinergy […] supporting everything going on with Cinergy and the Boys & Girls Club has been an amazing experience,” Smith said according to a press release by Cinergy.

Representatives and kids from the club were presented the check Friday afternoon.
