One school in each UIL classification receives the Lone Star Cup annually along with a $1,000 scholarship.
The Lone Star Cup combines a schools performance in all of the UIL sanctioned activities as well as academics.
UIL sanctioned activities include: State and Area Marching Band, Tennis, Team Tennis, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Soccer, Golf, Track & Field, Academics, One Act Play, Softball and Baseball. (According to the UIL Website)
Borden County finished runner-up in the final standings in 1A with 66 points – just 10 points shy of No. 1 Nazareth.
The Andrews Mustangs also finished in the top-10 at No. 6 in 4A with 67 points.

Garden City at No. 13 in 1A
Forsan tied for No. 11 in 2A
Alpine tied for No. 21 in 3A
Monahans tied for No. 21 in 4A
