ODESSA, Texas – The Odessa College Lady Wranglers enter the 2021 spring volleyball season as the 5th ranked team in Division I.
OC will take the court for its first games this weekend, hosting the 2021 New Mexico Military Institute Classic. The annual tournament was moved to the Permian Basin due to COVID-19 restrictions and limitations in the state of New Mexico.
Five of the eight teams in the field were given a top-20 preseason ranking. They include: #1 Navarro College, #5 Odessa College, #6 Snow College (UT), #16 New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), and #19 Missouri State-West Plains.
Other participants include Midland College, the College of Southern Idaho, and Vernon College.
Fans will be allowed to attend matches in the main gym, up to a maximum 25 percent capacity. Those who attend will be required to wear a face covering and follow all other Odessa College, State of Texas, and CDC guidelines. More information concerning those can be found at: www.odessa.edu/screening
