A 22-year-old Wyoming man was killed following a crash just south of Odessa Friday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Troopers were called to the crash around 2:16 a.m. Friday morning on Loop 338, about four miles south of Odessa.

Officials say the driver of a Ford F-350, Andy Heffner, of Big Piney, WY, was headed west on Loop 338 when he left the roadway, overcorrected and rolled.

Heffner was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to the report.

A passenger in the F-350, Ray Tamez, was taken to Medical Center Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Officials say Heffner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
