Woman injured in Big Spring shooting

BIG SPRING, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One woman was injured following a shooting in Big Spring early Wednesday morning.

Police officials say, around 4:10 a.m. officers were called to the area of 16th Street and Austin about the shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound outside of a home in the 600 block of 16th Street, according to the release.

The woman, police say, was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
