Several entities have decided to close for the day due to inclement weather.
Midland County offices will now close at 1:30 p.m. due to flooding in the area. Officials say offices will re-open during regular business hours on Monday.
In the City of Midland, officials have also decided to close City Hall for the remainder of the day.
Meanwhile, the rainfall is also causing some headaches on the roads.
EZ Rider announced on Friday morning they would be closing all routes due to road condition.
Furthermore, the Texas Department of Transportation has closed FM 1053 between FM 11 and FM 1450 south of Imperial due to water runoff.
Officials say the road will remain closed until crews can assess the damage.
Drivers are asked to use FM 1450, Highway 18 and FM 11 as a detour around the closed section.
