The man killed in a compressor station explosion last week has been identified.
According to the Ward County Sheriff’s Office, the man killed in the explosion has been identified as Jesus Levario of Anthony, New Mexico.
The explosion occurred on Friday about 10 miles south of Monahans, a release from the Texas Department of Transportation read.
The explosion forced crews to close a portion of State Highway 18 in the area.
Two others were reportedly injured in the explosion on Friday.
Sheriff Strickland said the victim transported to a Lubbock area hospital is improving and the victim who was taken to a hospital in Ward County has since been released.
