Victim identified in Midland car-pedestrian crash


MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The man killed in a car-pedestrian crash has been identified by Midland Police.

Police officials have identified the victim as 57-year-old Timmy Pinkston, of Burleson.

Midland Police were originally called to the crash around 11:30 a.m. Monday morning in the 2500 block of Rankin Highway.

While investigating, officers learned that the pedestrian was crossing Ranking Highway and was struck while in the turning lane, the release reads.

Pinkston was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
