UTPB College of Engineering to host summer camp for middle schoolers, high schoolers

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar)- The University of Texas Permian Basin College of Engineering is inviting all middle school and high school students to join them for an amazing hand-on experience at UTPB’s engineering summer camp. 

Camp for middle school students will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. July 19-23. The high school camp will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. July 26-30. 

The cost for camp is $295.00 per student, lunch and snacks will be provided, and scholarships are available. 

Projects include:

  • Solar power
  • Wind power
  • Gears, pulleys, and belt drives
  • Newton’s law
  • Ohm’s law
  • Coding
  • Chemical reactions with visible changes
  • Design using engineering graphics
  • And more
