TxDOT asking for input on Interstate 20 projects near Stanton

STANTON, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) - The Texas Department of Transportation wants input on the future of Interstate 20 in Stanton.

Officials with TxDOT will host a public meeting later this month to meet with the residents of Stanton and hear what they have to say.

The meeting will include an open house, a brief presentation and a question and answer session.

Projects planned for I-20 in Stanton have been designed to reconfigure the interchanges on both sides of town, according to a release from TxDOT.

This will include the realignment of main lanes, relocation of ramps and conversion to one-way service roads.

The meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at Stanton High School, 705 Koonce Street.

Written comments will also be accepted either in person, at the meeting or by mail.

Comments may be mailed to Gabriel Ramirez, Advanced Planning Engineer, Texas Department of Transportation, 3901 E. Highway 80, Odessa, Texas 79761 and must be postmarked by Nov. 14, officials say.
