Two of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted are back in custody


AUSTIN, Tx (ABC Big 2/Fox 24) – In the last week, authorities arrested two of the state’s top 10 fugitives.

On May 4, officers captured Eric Munoz in Donna, TX. On May 7, authorities arrest Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Marcus Torres in Snyder, TX.

Munoz was added to the Most Wanted fugitive list on April 29, 2021. Munoz had been convicted of multiple criminal offenses, including unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released from prison and placed on parole in 2017. Munoz has been wanted by authorities since the fall of 2020 when he violated his parole.

DPS officers arrested Munoz during a traffic stop in Donna. He possessed narcotics and currency at the time.

Marcus Torres was added to the Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list on April 1, 2021. He was previously convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual assault for sexually assaulting two young boys, ages 7 and 9. Torres was released on parole in January of 2020, but has been wanted by authorities since he violated that parole. Additionally, there was an arrest warrant for Torres for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Torres was arrested following a call of a suspicious person in Snyder.
