Two Odessans were killed and several others were injured following a crash Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers were called to the crash around 7:04 a.m. Wednesday morning on Loop 338 about two miles south of Odessa.
While investigating, troopers learned the driver of a Dodge pickup drove into the northbound lanes and collided with a GMC Yukon, the report reads.
Two passengers in the Yukon, Jesus Vasquez and Brianna Vasquez-Lujan, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, DPS officials say.
The driver, Lorena Lujan-Madrid, and three other passengers, an 11-year-old girl, a 3-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl, were all taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment, according to the report.
Officials say the driver of the pickup, Lara Lorenzo, was also taken to Medical Center Hospital with incapacitating injuries.
